Belle Isle is a collection of mid-century neighborhoods located in the middle of downtown Oklahoma City and Edmond. Most of the homes are ranch style and offer an easy living feel yet leave room for architectural changes conducive to today’s lifestyles. The lot sizes are generous and values continue to see an upward trend as location, neighborhood and nearby amenities increase the desire of many to live in the neighborhood. It is generally priced from $250,000 to $400,000 with some homes less and more expensive depending on location and size. Deep Fork Creek runs through the neighborhood thus creating one of the city’s most lushly landscaped areas with tall trees, greenery, and flowers all accessed by winding streets. Creek lots commonly bring a premium.
It is known as one of the most convenient areas of town to live in and enjoy all levels of shopping from high end to large box stores and also favorite destination grocery stores: Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joes and Natural Grocers. Nichols Hills Plaza and Classen Curve are within a mile. Penn Square Mall is across Penn from the neighborhood. It features the city’s best collection of shopping.
Belle Isle in general terms is comprised of three separate volunteer neighborhood associations: Belle Isle West, Wileman’s Belle Isle and Wileman’s 8. Each has their own vibe and offerings from social events (Garden Tour, Oktoberfest, Spring Fest, Neighborhood Garage Sale, Neighborhood Patrol, Yard of the Month, Lighting Project and more). All enjoy Belle Isle Park with its playground area, tennis courts and expansive lawn.
Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School is a big draw to the neighborhood with its award-winning academics. Also, Belle Isle Library is within the neighborhood boundaries and a wonderful resource.
